About my Name
My given name is Georgianne, but I've been called George for most of my life – when I was in the 5th grade, 'George' came as a welcome replacement for the 'Gigi' I despised as a child (even though it began as a taunt). As a grown-up I rediscovered Gigi, thanks to the French chef I worked with. Friends and family latched onto it, and I started using 'GG' as my online identity; family have adopted it as my 'sweetie' name.
Folks that know me may call me 'George' or 'GG' in comments, which might be confusing for stangers who (correctly) assumed me to be a woman. George or GG, I'm all girl.
